Leazes Park is one of the city’s less well known attractions but still worth seeking out. It is the oldest park in Tyneside which opened in 1873 conveniently close to Newcastle City Centre. Facilities in the park include tennis courts, a basketball court, a bowling green, a fishing lake, a children’s play area and a new sensory garden.
A little cafe is open throughout the year and looks popular. Look out for an update and review on the blog as we will be testing one their pizzas in the Summer.
The park is behind St James Park and next to the RVI: the main entrance is on Richardson Road.

Monday - Friday: 10am - 9pm
Saturday - Sunday: 9am - 9pm
Kitchen open from 5pm
